The book of sport photos compilation is dedicated to Indonesia especiallly the fans of both sports and photography, to see how the drama in sports can be captured in photos. Through photojournalism works, a documentation of the most important sports events are now available to become the source of inspirations accross many generations. The high and low of Indonesian sports achievements will continue to be the center of attention, and Kompas will always be around to document them. Since the firs edition that was published on June 28, 1965, Kompas Daily Newspaper had been recording the struggle of Indonesian athletes. It's like an open library to anyone. Through very costly photo digitalization process. Kompas Daily Newspaper managed todocument almost four million photos that are to tell the story of a nation. With the upcoming 2018 Asian Games, Kompas is publishing a photobook of sporta photography to display tha national sports'journey in the international arena. Hopefully, the effort can lift up the spirit and show huge support to the rising of Indonesian sports. This book should be able to be a medium to tell stories, sharing knowledges and photography experiences, especially in the world of sports photography. Public should also be able to use this book to look at what was written in the history of Indonesian sports and eventually to encourage a brighter future of Indonesia sports. This book contains 198 photos taken by 24 photojournalists in Kompas Daily Newspaper from each generation. They are curated from 2.137 photos in total, by Oscar Motuloh and Stefan Sihombing. The launch of this book will be sync with Kompas Photography festival on July 31 to August 5, 2018.//ynÂ
